Capital City Book Fair

Capital City Book Fair

Announcing the Annual

Capital City PCS Library

Book Fair

Monday, February 25 – Friday, March 1
CLOSED Wednesday, February 27

8:00 am – 5:00 pm M, T, Th, F

Families can purchase high quality books selected by librarians through a partnership with Politics and Prose.

The front lobby of Capital City PCS, near the auditorium entrance.

The book fair raises funds for the Capital City PCS library. It also gives families an opportunity to purchase high quality books for their students, and donate books to members of the community.

How will it work?

Families may browse samples of books available for purchase during the book fair hours. To purchase a title, students and families can fill out an order form. Students may also fill out a wish list that can be taken home listing the books they want, and the total cost to purchase those books.

All order forms will be due on Monday, March 4 at 12:00pm.

The books will be delivered a few weeks after ordering.

What books will be available?

Lists of titles and prices are available on our order forms. These forms are separated by campus, but they may be combined if you would like to purchase titles from multiple lists. Click on the links below to access an electronic version of the order forms.

We will also have a series of books for parents donated by Michel Martin from NPR’s Tell Me More. These books will be sold at $5 a title, with select autographed copies selling for $20.

How can we pay for books?

Payment by credit card, cash and check will be accepted at the book fair. Parents may send envelopes with cash or check for the books.

Will you accept donations?

We welcome donations to ensure that all students will be able to buy at least one book. $10.00 is suggested, but any amount will make a difference! Teachers will also be encouraged to create “wish lists” of books they would like in their classroom collections.

Why Politics and Prose?

We wanted students from all grades PreK-12 to find the right book to own. Since Scholastic only provides titles through Middle grades, we have partnered with Politics and Prose to offer high quality books for all students.
