Lisvette Garcia, Bilingual Office Manager & Enrollment Specialist
Lisvette joined Capital City in August 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Journalism from the University of Puerto Rico from which she graduated magna cum laude.
Prior to Capital City, Lisvette was an AmeriCorps Service Member with Byte Back from 2012-2013 and with Public Allies from 2013-2014. At Public Allies, she was placed at For Love of Children (FLOC), where she helped to increase awareness of its educational services and volunteer opportunities, recruited students and volunteers, facilitated information sessions for parents and volunteer orientations, and provided ongoing support to families and volunteers to guide them through the intake process.
Lisvette is a native Spanish speaker and speaks basic Portuguese. Her hobbies include going to the beach, enjoying the warm water, and watching the sunset, having been raised in a small town in the southern coast of Puerto Rico. She also enjoys dancing salsa and other Latin rhythms, taking pictures, cooking, reading, and writing.
