Amrita Wassan, 11th Grade U.S. History Teacher
Amrita joined Capital City in August 2014. She holds a Master of Education in Secondary Education from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics from Agnes Scott College.
Prior to Capital City, she was a publications advocate at Teaching for Change, a creative writing instructor at Sitar Arts Center and at Class Acts Arts. She also worked as a dedicated aide at Capital City from 2012-2013.
Amrita’s hobbies include biking, attempting capoeira, reading, and learning to play new instruments.
