Antonio Lumpkin, Inclusion Teacher
Tony joined Capital City in August 2017. He holds a Master in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Towson University. He is CPI, CPR, First Aid and Smartboard Trained along with receiving significant professional development in Reading and Writing Interventions.
Prior to Capital City, he taught Special Education in Charles County Public Schools for two years and worked in Montgomery County Public Schools as a school security officer for three years. He also was a member of B.O.S.S (Brotherhood of Superstars) and Director of the Black Student Union at McDonough High School.
In 2017, Tony received the Teacher & Staff Appreciation Award from the Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee from Charles County. He was also recognized as an outstanding coach and mentor in 2017.
His hobbies include personal training, coaching various sports, traveling, and spending time with his two children.
