Binni Chadda, Math Intervention and Anatomy/Physiology Specialist
Binni joined Capital City in August 2015. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Science from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University.
Before teaching, Binni worked as an epidemiologist in cancer research for the International Epidemiology Institute in Rockville, Maryland. She taught health sciences electives for two years at Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, DC prior to coming to Capital City. Binni is starting her 6th year of teaching high school and currently teaches Numeracy (9th grade) and Anatomy & Physiology (12th grade).
Binni has participated in OSSE’s Science Educator Leadership Cadre, worked with the Rock Creek Conservation Corps, and participated in Outward Bound’s Educator Initiative. She is currently a cross country coach and the high school sponsor for the WILL (Wilderness Leadership & Learning) program and LearnServe, a youth development organization that equips students with the tools, skills and confidence to tackle social change locally and abroad.
Outside of school, Binni is an avid cook and baker, takes art classes and enjoys spending time outdoors. Also, she has an identical twin!
