Candace Mason, 9/10th Grade Science Inclusion Teacher
Candace joined Capital City in November 2017. She holds a Master in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Prior to Capital City, Candace taught at Phoenix Charter Academy Public High School Springfield as a founding Academic Support Teacher. She was also the Special Education teacher at Perry Street Public Charter School (K-3 grade) and at DC Prep (4-5 grade). Candace has received significant training in the Wilson Reading Program, Fountas and Pineal Reading System.
Candace speaks conversational Latin and in her free time she enjoys crocheting, cooking, writing and spending time with her family.
