Katryna Andrusik, Instructional Coach & Curriculum Coordinator
Dr. Andrusik joined Capital City in July 2014. She holds a Ph.D. in Special Education: Learning Disabilities from the University of Maryland, College Park; a Master of Science in Education: Reading Specialist from Johns Hopkins University; and a Bachelor of Arts in French and English from Johns Hopkins University.
She has nearly 20 years of educational experience. Most recently, she worked as the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Professional Development, Special Education and Humanities at the Urban Teacher Center in Baltimore, MD. She has also worked as an adjunct professor at Lesley University and has been a lecturer at Catholic University of America, Trinity Washington University, and the University of Maryland, College Park.
Dr. Andrusik taught in Baltimore City Public Schools for eight years at the middle and high school levels before full-time college-level teaching.
In her spare time, Dr. Andrusik enjoys CrossFit, fostering rescue dogs, yoga, and traveling with her spouse. She speaks conversational French and beginning Spanish.
