Pamela Jordan, Counselor
Pamela joined Capital City in 2009. Pamela is a licensed social worker for the District of Columbia. She has a Masters’ degree in Social Work from Howard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina.
Prior to coming to Capital City, Pamela worked in child welfare for nearly 15 years. She was awarded the Child Welfare Social Worker of the Year Award in 2005. She is established as a leader in the areas of preventing re-victimization, trauma, and attachments and has traveled nationally educating foster parents and empowering biological families on these subjects.
Pamela provides learning opportunities through an educational program of field work, experience and practice as a Field Instructor. Over the years she has provided Field Instruction at Howard University, Gallaudet University, New England University, Catholic University and is currently serving Columbia University in New York.
