Roy Vereen, Coordinator of School Culture
Roy joined Capital City in July 2014. He holds a Master in Educational Leadership and Human Development from George Washington University, a Master in Social Work with a focus on Direct Practice from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice also from Rutgers University.
He is a licensed social worker and brings 13 years of education experience to Capital City. Prior to Capital City, he served as the assistant principal of intervention with DCPS. In this role, he improved the school culture at DCPS middle schools and contributed to schools achieving double-digit gains three years in a row on DC CAS.
In his spare time, Roy enjoys basketball, soccer, swimming, watching cooking shows, and spending time with his family.
