Katie Rush

Katie Rush, 4th Grade Classroom Teacher

Katie joined Capital City in August 2013 first as a 5th Grade Teaching Fellow through the Center for Inspired Teaching. She holds a Master in Teaching from Trinity Washington University and a dual Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature and Biopsychology, Cognition, & Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Prior to Capital City, Katie was an Assistant Director for Camp Invention (Dexter, Michigan) and led Girls Empowerment Workshops. She has also served as a summer mentor teacher for Center of Inspired Teaching fellows.

Katie speaks conversational Spanish. Her hobbies include creative writing, painting (art in general), running, hiking, playing sports, and baking.
