Makeda Smith, 3rd Grade Inclusion Teacher

Makeda joined Capital City in August 2018. She holds a Dual Master of Education in Elementary Education and in K-12 Special Education from Lesley University and a Bachelor in International Studies from Stetson University.

Before joining Capital City, Makeda was a Kindergarten teacher for the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Makeda is originally from Pensacola, FL and speaks intermediate Spanish.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world, reading books, making art, and playing soccer.
