Catherine Bare

Catherine Bare, Visual Arts Teacher

Catherine joined Capital City in August 2018. She holds a Master of Art in Art Administration from Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Science in Art from Radford University.

Catherine has received significant training in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate.

Before joining Capital City, Catherine taught at Crossland High School and was the Specialist and Studio Technician at Arlington County Parks and Recreation Arts program. Catherine interned at Hillyer Art Space in Dupont in the summer of 2016 with International Arts and Artists.

Originally from Arlington, VA, Catherine enjoys mixed media design, oil painting, ceramics and working in the darkroom.  During the summer, she loves laying on the beach and hiking in the fall. Catherine does kickboxing 3-5 times a week!
