Christine Blakely, 7th Grade Humanities Teacher
Christine joined Capital City in August 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Comparative Religion from Hood College. She has also completed graduate coursework in secondary education and humanities. While at Hood College, she was a member of the Bonner Scholars, an honors society that is dedicated to community service.
Christine has more than 12 years of teaching experience in Montgomery County Public Schools and the American International School in Dubai. She is AP-certified and scores Advanced Placement essays in European History.
Christine has traveled to over 56 countries. Her travels included volunteer work in the Middle East and Asia. She loves taking pictures of her travels and spends as much time as possible with her two children. She also enjoys all kinds of music, visual and theatrical arts, history, and advocacy work for various organizations.
