Katharine Pick, Instructional Coach & Curriculum Coordinator
Katharine joined Capital City in July 2012 with more than six years of teaching experience. She has been a Teacher Development Coach and Selector for the The New Teacher Project. Most recently, she taught at the Oneness Family School in Chevy Chase where she was an interdisciplinary middle school teacher.
Previously, she taught 6th - 8th grade science and math at Center City Public Charter School where she also served as the Middle School Dean and the Science Department Chair. She began her career as a Teach for America Corps member in South Central Los Angeles teaching 6th grade science and math.
Katharine has been trained in Developmental Designs and Four Blocks Literacy. She graduated with a Master's in Education in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wake Forest University.
