High School Leads a City-Wide Summit

Food Justice Youth Summit

On April 14th, the Class of 2018 hosted the 3rd annual DC Food Justice Youth Summit as part of their spring expedition, "Food Justice For All." After weeks of research, fieldwork, and connecting with experts, 11th graders led thought-provoking and informative sessions to over 100 attendees at the University of the District of Columbia. Each presentation addressed key issues related to food justice in the District including production, access, waste and sustainability.
