Our middle school and high school both achieved Tier 1 –
the highest school performance rating that the DC Public Charter School Board awards.
Our middle school improved to Tier 1 in 2019. PARCC proficiency in students scoring 4+ increased in both ELA and Math, outpacing citywide growth.
Our high school has achieved Tier 1 since 2013. PARCC proficiency in students scoring 4+ in Math increased to our highest percentage yet. A reflection of our commitment to college access, PSAT and SAT scores both increased, and we achieved 100% college acceptance. The Class of 2020 is already on their way to repeat this accomplishment. DCist featured our annual March to the Mailbox, where 100% of our seniors mailed at least one application to college.
The lower school achieved Tier 2 but with promising internal results that show us we can reach our goal of Tier 1 for all campuses.
These results reflect our 20 years of incredible school leadership, hard-working teachers, and dedicated families who together give all Capital City students a well-rounded and excellent education.
