On February 3, 2017, we officially opened our new state-of-the-art theater! The night was a celebration of the arts, our community, and everyone who made this significant project possible. Thank you to our performers, families, neighbors, partners, donors, and the nearly 400 attendees who made our theater grand opening a grand success!

The night illustrated Capital City’s deep commitment to being a space where everyone is welcome and included. Performances on the big stage ranged from our Lower School musical club, Middle School dance team, and High School drama, to a parent ensemble and staff sing-along. Outside the theater, our hallways were a celebration of our talented visual artists.

This is our vision. Every young artist, from our singers and actors to painters and designers, will have an opportunity to shine. We will use the beautiful new theater to educate students, host performances, attract arts professionals, and celebrate our diverse and growing community.
